Yes, that is the most mpg you will get. The max is designed for power, not economy and only runs in hybrid mode when you are well under 20 mph or stopped and your battery is charged. I will try to find my other post which is much more complete and explains it all.
I have 2024 GH Hybrid Max Platinum - averaging 26mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Drive almost exclusively in Eco mode, rarely drive more than 5mph over speed limit, adhere strictly to maintenance schedule and recomm tire pressure.

Took mine to the dealer; he advised only good under basic warranty. Since we are retired, help with grands throughout the state, and travel, we already have 40k miles in almost two years. I do have an extended warrant; he’s checking to see if covered. Since this is absolutely not wear and tear related, makes no sense not to be covered - it’s an engineering design flaw. Has anyone else heard about longer coverage to fix?
