Just had it done today , 162 miles on the tank when my car was dropped, after software flash I was told to get gas and see what happens . Only5.8 gallon and 360 miles on total tank . Software didn’t do anything unless the tank needs to be drained down ????

Had the SW update done but haven't refueled yet. So TBD.

But I read elsewhere that w/ new SW, the tire pressure display now sticks after shutdown - would get overridden with a different display after a short period after shutdown. I noticed this worked after a few hours shutdown yesterday, can't wait to see if it remained overnight.

Good luck , update didn’t work for me at all after refuel same situation but I was told from one user on Reddit he said “ lets try a few more drains and re-fills for the AI to re-learn when the gastank is Empty and when gas tank is Full, and see if after several fills the AI allow you to fill up to 16gallons. “

I just got my GHHL back after the reflash. I dropped the car off with 18512 on the ODO and 22 DTE. Picked the car up with 18516 on the ODO and 63 DTE.

Bottom line, DTE added ~45 miles or 1 to 1.5 gallons. I’d hoped for a bit more, but adding 10% more miles between fillups is better than nothing.

Update w/ first fuel fill after SW update. Drove it down to 6 miles remaining, filled 15.0 gallons, range bumped to 475 miles. So far, so good.

When so you stop filling? I go one click after the first pump shut off.
Same - just one extra click after first auto-shutoff.

Also IIRC low fuel light didn't switch on until 14 miles to go. We'll try to burn it down to sub-10 one more time and see if we can get 15 gal in there again. But glad this seems to be working so far, fewer gas station stops is one upside of a hybrid.

We are dropping it off Friday for just this. We just got it serviced a couple weeks ago. This will be the 1st one they are doing. Ours seems to be the 1200th Grand Highlander Hybrid Max built. I will try to post what we find out. In our first 18K miles, we were never able to get much over 12 gallons in when the fuel gauge showed less than 50 miles.

I just had mine in for 10k service on Wednesday this week and asked for the T-SB-0060-25 fuel level software update. Filled up yesterday, and looking forward to seeing if I can finally put more than 12 gallons in.

Glad they finally put out a fix.
did the software update correct fuel level guage?

I don't know yet, still have about 300 DTE on this tank, so haven't filled up again. But, when I filled up it jumped to 515 DTE. I normally don't see much over 450 DTE at fill up. In my 10k miles so far, I've only seen it read >500 3 times, including this one. My average DTE after filling is 457 in 26 fill ups.

Took mine to the dealer; he advised only good under basic warranty. Since we are retired, help with grands throughout the state, and travel, we already have 40k miles in almost two years. I do have an extended warrant; he’s checking to see if covered. Since this is absolutely not wear and tear related, makes no sense not to be covered - it’s an engineering design flaw. Has anyone else heard about longer coverage to fix?

TSB are usually over done for free under warranty. If you have a Toyota VSA though it should 100% be covered.
